Description

Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) is hiring a Physiotherapist to improve patients’ cardiovascular health, functional capacity, and quality of life through tailored exercise programs, rehabilitation, and education.

Salary Scale: UHI 4 MED-2

Reports To: Senior Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapist

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, safe, and quality physiotherapy services to patients.
  • Participate in health promotion activities.
  • Evaluate and refer patients for cardio-respiratory physiotherapy services.
  • Participate in research activities and health data collection.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development programmes.
  • Adhere to professional code of conduct and ethics.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment for delivery of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy services.
  • Collect and maintain information and records for physiotherapy services.
  • Assist in the supervision of undergraduate and diploma students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience as a Physiotherapist.
